We S-U-R-V-I-V-E-D!!!!

Like I said, We survived-the first week of school!!!   No tears from either party, me or my Tiger Lily. For myself as a mother, it was a time of excitement, change, and growth.  For my Tiger Lily, I can only assume, it was a time of great excitement, uncertainty, and  independence!

Not only did my Tiger Lily have to adjust to new changes, but so did my Sugar Pixie.  I believe that change was  bittersweet for my Sugar Pixie. With no one to play with, or to torment, she was stuck only with me.  She did though have free rein of the whole house, from my undivided attention to the sole use of the computer and television.

This week was a week of  going to bed with the sun still out, waking up early with the moon still up in the sky, finding the least congested  route to school, trying to learn how to tie your shoes, walking quietly down the hall at school, searching for the gingerbread man, wanting to go to your sister's school, remembering to get a visitors pass, remembering mommy packed a snack and put in your backpack, meeting new friends, falling asleep in the car on the way home from school, learning to dress yourself in the wee hours of the morning,  wondering when your sister is coming home from school, learning how to be a kindergartner, and giving your baby the freedom to be the big girl she wants to be, when deep down inside your not ready let her go and be that BIG girl!   And for all of my friends this where I cry, in the comfort of my home, behind my lap top as I write my blog!!! Sniff,Sniff!!! :o)  Should I say more?

It was definitely a week of transitioning for all of us, I couldn't be more proud of my Tiger Lily and my Sugar Pixie!
